NUTMEG: This special distillation of nutmeg fruit contains very low safrole and methyl eugenol, which leaves behind an incredibly warming, candied-like version of this earthy spice.
PIÑON PINE: Ethically wild harvested in the American southwest, piñon pine exudes warmth in an oil that is extremely complex, often shifting between buttery conifer notes and fruity nuances that read as peach or apricot.
VETIVER: We chose a vetiver that was processed twice, giving it a refined, smooth, earthy-sweet facet that lingers on skin without the harshness of traditional vetiver. In the formula, it lends a very sweet profile.
Built on a bluff near Saint Tropez that drops to the Mediterranean below, the Domaine du Rayol (pronounced ray-YOL) encompasses plants from some of the world’s most arid and subtropical regions. The preserve is divided into over eleven different areas, with gardens reflecting areas of California, Mexico, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, Southern Africa, and more. There is even a marine garden dedicated to plants cultivated from the seas. Amongst buildings in shades of terracotta, visitors will find palms, heather, eucalyptus, cacti, agave, arid flowers, pines, and in winter, the gardens explode with golden blooming mimosas and acacia. We knew this was the perfect garden to showcase a sensual, warm perfume that uses natural materials that favor these arid regions.
Inspired by the walk from the top of the gardens to the sea, we designed a complex scent using plant-based essential oils and compounds that includes Indonesian nutmeg, wild American piñon pine, and Haitian vetiver to capture the warm and earthy essence of the arid biomes, the swirling breezes that bring the sweet scents of mimosa and dry fruits, and the allure of lazy afternoons in the Mediterranean sun.

The Rayol botanical solid perfume is made with pure, natural jojoba oil and beeswax as well as a complex blend of plant-based essential oils that includes Indonesian nutmeg, wild American piñon pine, and Haitian vetiver. Each perfume is individually crafted and hand poured so you get the strongest and freshest sensations possible.
All of our botanical perfumes, regardless of their format, are meticulously crafted exclusively from natural ingredients. As a result, they exhibit a distinct difference from the customary endurance of synthetic perfumes. Rather than filling the surrounding space with their aroma, our perfumes are designed to envelop and enhance the essence of the wearer and those in close proximity. Their longevity, spanning approximately 2 to 6 hours (sometimes more), is subject to an individual's unique body chemistry—although we commit ourselves to a minimum of 3 hours for a perfume formula, from the initial fragrance unveiling to the lingering traces of base notes on the skin.
In a departure from conventional perfumery, our creations are artfully constructed to undergo a metamorphosis over time. Usage: For best scent application, use the edge of your fingernail to scrape up a portion of solid perfume. Liberally apply at pressure points (wrists, neck, behind ears, inside elbows, etc.), or wherever you wear fragrance. Reapply as desired throughout the day.
