COCONUT: An unexpected note to bring sophistication to the fragrance concentrate. It ebbs and flows throughout the wear, acting as a supporting character instead of the star.
CARDAMOM: Using two types of distillation, the duo of cardamoms combine to create a grounding warmth and comfort to the otherwise sweet formula.
VANILLA: A blend of vanilla distillations yields a long, sweet drydown once the other ingredients have faded and adds depth to the formula.
Vaux-le-Vicomte (pronounced voh-luh-vee-KANT), a château built outside of the monarchy, was one of the main sources of inspiration for the architecture and gardens of Versailles. The artists originally hired to design the environs of Vaux-le-Vicomte would later be employed by the king and go on to design a lot of celebrated landscapes and architecture in France. Beyond the enduring beauty of its landscapes and interiors, the château has an extra special charm around the holidays — each room adorned with themed Christmas trees, glowing lights, crackling fires, and occasionally resonating with traditional French carols in the grand salon. This chateau in particular is one of my personal favorites, and no matter the season, I always return to the memories of the Noël grandeur. I set out to design a fragrance that would capture the spirit of the holidays, but still ruminate on the history and architecture of the property.
One main room in particular was always a decorated favorite; ornaments of snow and crystal adorned flocked evergreens while wintery animals strewn about painted a natural scene. Glittering chandeliers threw golden light on the gilded walls and warm, earthy smells emanated from the fireplaces. This memory became the guiding force behind a complex fragrance using plant-based essential oils and compounds that incorporates Indian coconut, Guatemalan cardamom, and Madagascar vanilla. More than a fragrance for the holidays, it’s a formula for moments when solace demands a comforting warmth and a hint of sweetness.

The Vaux botanical solid perfume is made with pure, natural jojoba oil and beeswax as well as a complex blend of plant-based essential oils that includes Indian coconut, Guatemalan cardamom, and Madagascar vanilla. Each perfume is individually crafted and hand poured so you get the strongest and freshest sensations possible.
All of our botanical perfumes, regardless of their format, are meticulously crafted exclusively from natural ingredients. As a result, they exhibit a distinct difference from the customary endurance of synthetic perfumes. Rather than filling the surrounding space with their aroma, our perfumes are designed to envelop and enhance the essence of the wearer and those in close proximity. Their longevity, spanning approximately 2 to 6 hours (sometimes more), is subject to an individual's unique body chemistry—although we commit ourselves to a minimum of 3 hours for a perfume formula, from the initial fragrance unveiling to the lingering traces of base notes on the skin.
In a departure from conventional perfumery, our creations are artfully constructed to undergo a metamorphosis over time. Unlike traditional fragrances that maintain a static olfactory profile, our perfumes evolve and transform, much like the gardens from which we’ve drawn inspiration. Usage: For best scent application, use the edge of your fingernail to scrape up a portion of solid perfume. Liberally apply at pressure points (wrists, neck, behind ears, inside elbows, etc.), or wherever you wear fragrance. Reapply as desired throughout the day.
