SPEARMINT: This zesty green mint opens our perfume with an energetic flare that lingers for some time despite its quality as a top note. Cool and refreshing, it was the core ingredient we built our formula around to help evoke the Bambouseraie.
BORONIA: One of the most expensive plant materials, this Australian native adds a rich floral tea note to the fragrance. It can impart slight earthy facets as well, but ultimately marries the mint with the base so as not to take away from the refreshing zest of the perfume.
CEDAR: We use two cedars in the base formula - Virginia cedarwood, a dry, mellowed woody note from the juniper family and a true cedar, Deodar or Himalayan cedar, that has a sweet, woody, almost camphorous aroma.
A garden unlike any other in France, the Bambouseraie en Cévennes (pronounced say-VEHN) has one of the largest collections of bamboos in Europe, containing some 1000 varieties. Planted in 1856 at the feet of sequoias and ginkgo, the forest of bamboo stretches up to 75 ft, casting shades of grays, greens, and blues in the dappled light. If one is not admiring the bamboo, the Japanese zen garden with traditional red pagoda or the Laotian village with native plantings is sure to delight. There is even a large water basin that is filled with water lilies, lotus, and Egyptian papyrus. Here, biodiversity and its protection is a key pillar on which the Bambouseraie stands as well as education to future growers. In placing ourselves in the heart of this bamboo forest, we designed a complex scent using plant-based essential oils and compounds that includes American spearmint, Australian boronia, and Indian deodar cedar to symbolize the vegetal coolness of pale green bamboo swaying in the forest, the scent of aquatic flowers floating together in the ebb and flow of blue waters, and the calming and reflective nature of this garden treasure.

The Cévennes eau de parfum is made in a base of USDA certified organic grain alcohol as well as a complex blend of plant-based botanical oils that includes American spearmint, Australian boronia, and Indian deodar cedar. Each small batch of eau de parfum is cured for around 3 months so you get the strongest and freshest sensations possible.
All of our botanical perfumes, regardless of their format, are meticulously crafted exclusively from natural ingredients. As a result, they exhibit a distinct difference from the customary endurance of synthetic perfumes. Rather than filling the surrounding space with their aroma, our perfumes are designed to envelop and enhance the essence of the wearer and those in close proximity. Their longevity, spanning approximately 2 to 6 hours (sometimes more), is subject to an individual's unique body chemistry—although we commit ourselves to a minimum of 3 hours for a perfume formula, from the initial fragrance unveiling to the lingering traces of base notes on the skin.

Suggested Use: On moisturized skin, spritz on pulse points with desired amount of perfume and allow to air dry.* Reapply as desired.
*Friction can harm the delicate molecules of the naturals, so allowing the scent to dry on pulse points will allow for maximum diffusion.
